Digital Photography Software

There are plenty of digital photography software choices for the dSLR photographer.

In fact, you may get lost just trying to figure out what the best software is.

The main focus of software is to enhance your experience whether for viewing, editing, correcting, manipulating etc.

As a digital SLR photographer, you should mostly consider two types of software:

• Photo Viewer Software
• Photo Editing Software

Due to the large variety, there is also a large difference in price points for you to consider.

Price points range from Freeware (free to download and use without annoying timeouts etc) to several hundreds of dollars.

A quick search on the internet can provide lots of links to software that you may consider using. However, these may not work for you and you may spend valuable time trying to find a good one.

The following are what I mainly use:

• IrfanView
• Adobe Lightroom 2
• Adobe Photoshop CS3
